Nkauj Noog Hawj – Kuv Mus Tsheej Cuab

This is one of the most beautiful song I have heard! This is a very simple song that can relate to a few Hmong individuals especially during my parent’s generation. The original singer to this song is by one of Hmong’s legendary singer Pov Thoj. Pov Thoj had a very successful career in singing but it was sad to see his life come to an end when his stardom had reached it’s prime.
Anyways, Nkauj Noog’s second album featured her version of this song. It was just as nice and beautiful as the original version. Pov Thoj’s version was speaking to the girl he loves who will be leaving him because she was forced to marry another man. As for Nkauj Noog’s version she sings to the man she love, that she will be leaving him because she had been forced to marry another man.
