It’s a Winter Wonderland

Posted on 11 January 2011

It started snowing at about 10:15 last night, the snow was about 3 hours late, but we had heavy snow once it started to snow and the snow must had last until about 2am and then it started to snow again around 5am up until about 10am. At about 10:30 am the snow turned into hail and it must had last a while. The top layer of our snow turned into ice, the hail was on and off until around 4pm.

This winter had been an extremely cold winter. We normally only receive one snow day but this winter we’ve received two snow day thus far. Here in Georgia when it snows everything closes, which means I didn’t have to work today, my company was closed today and I received a text message from my team lead telling me tomorrow the company will be closed as well, I called the company hotline and sure enough tomorrow the office will be closed as well, which means I got another day off, but that also means by the time the office opens on Wednesday we’ll have more than too much work to do.

Hlee and I took a walk up and down our street, it sure was pretty. We saw a few daredevils driving on the icy road at a very slow speed. I thought they were crazy or had somewhere very important to go because the roads were not in any condition to drive on. We didn’t get to make a snowman but we’ll do that tomorrow. I am 100% sure the snow won’t start melting until maybe late in the afternoon on Tuesday or maybe noon on Wednesday, depending on if the son decides to come out or not. I took this chance to stay home, relax and enjoy a few movie. So pretty much I had a movie afternoon and night… At the same time this is bad, School was cancelled and I should had done my homework but instead I was inside watching movies. Oh well, I’ll consider this a mini at home vacation.

These are beautiful pictures. One thing I don’t like when photographing landscape picture is the electric wire, kind of hard to dodge them also.

Nye, I agree, I really hate it when an electricity line ruins a whole entire picture, those are things we cannot avoid b/c it’s clearly there. photoshopping is an option, but it can take so much time too.
