Pagnia Xiong’s Concert in North Carolina 2010

On Friday November 26 Pagnia Xiong had her concert in North Carolina, I was fortunate enough to attend the concert and also bought a VIP table. I dragged a few friends along with me and I thought this concert was well worth it. I had a grand time although we did miss the first hour of the concert.
Pagnia was beautiful that night and did a wonderful job performing on stage. I just love the way she express her music with such beautiful voice and power. I love how she gave so much passion into her music and give her audience 110% of what she has. I think Pagnia is an amazing entertainer, this is not the first time I’ve seen Pagnia live on stage, Pagnia was the guest singer at The Sounders concert in Minneapolis MN this past summer and I was there support both Pagnia and Sounders. This time this was Pagnia’s concert and of course I had to show up, I was in NC for the Hmong New Year so I had to stop in and see her perform yet again.
There were many singers there at the concert. Darla Yang was there to perform although I did missed her portion of the concert. Pagnia who was the main artist there, Kong and Shu performed a few songs and also added on a duet with Pagnia, Duce Khang also performed and did his duet with Pagnia as well, Logo was also there to perform a few of his songs and last but not least the Evolution band was there to perform a few American covers. Everyone did a superb job and as it looked all the guest there had a wonderful time, I know I sure did.

Here is a performance by Pagnia, it’s a cover of Lee Pheng’s “nyob qhov twg”. This cover was released in Pagnia’s first album, a very good album indeed.

I’m glad that you guys get to see the concert, that’s quiet a way out too. She does sound real nice live and the pictures that Hlee took came out real good.
I forgot to ask you if your parents came to the NC New Year also.
She looks so different glamed up. I met her this past October at my first cousin’s wedding to their Xiong people. She was the bridesmaid (niam tais nstuab). Very nice girl.
Lovely, I’ve met and talked to her twice, she is one beautiful person, inside and out!
