Ntseeg Kuv (Trust Me) is one of my favorite songs from Pagnia Xiong’s newest album and also the album title. Pagnia actually performed this song at the Sounder’s concert in MN during her opening performance and she was just simply amazing!
I am going to be honest here, this is such a beautiful song, yet no matter how much I try to hold its true beautiful meaning of the song, somehow the very powerful and beautiful meaning of the song is lost through translation from Hmong to English. I tried to contain that powerful meaning, but no matter how hard I try, I just simply cannot find those right and beautiful words to make it as strong and meaningful as the actual Hmong lyrics. Nonetheless, I did try my best to show the powerful meaning of the song.
I can be a total emotional wreck and this song did a perfect job at helping me be that emotional wreck that I hate. This song really brought tears to my eyes, yes, seriously I cried listening to this song, its just that beautiful. I cry at happy moments and sad moments, but with this song, it’s so strong and beautiful and envious that it just brought happy tears to my eyes, or more like envious tears.

i REALLY LOVE this song too! but as i was reading your post i think when she says ‘Kuv lub siab ya ntshis’ it means ‘my heart melts’ im not sure.xD but i really like how u translate the songs..xD
