Tus Ntsuag Kub—My Review

Posted on 13 July 2010

I have to say, this is one of the BEST movie I’ve seen this year!!! I am very amazed with this movie and the story line!! I have to be honesty I did shed a few tears watching this movie too!

I will most definitely watch this movie over and over again, it’s that good!
This movie also features Pagnia Xiong’s song “Cia Rau Txoj Hmoo” from her latest album.

:::WARNING WARNING WARNING SPOILER ALERT!!!:::

Tus Ntsuag Kub (The Golden One), it can be translated into the chosen one, the golden one or the wealth a person can get. This movie is about Ntxawg (GER), a gentleman who has a dream of becoming rich. He fell in love with Paj Yeeb (Pa Yeng) his employer’s daughter, but unfortunately when Ntxawg was ready to tell Paj Yeeb she got married, he than lost hope in love with her and move on with his life. Ntxawg than became friends with Paj Yeeb’s father Txhiaj Npi, a rich man whom he worked for. Ntxawg accepted a job as Txhiaj Npi’s tour guide. Txhiaj Npi saw that Ntxawg was following his footstep when he was a young man, he than tried to help guide Ntxawg on a right path explaining that wealth does not mean happiness, it means drama in the family with no love at all.

Ntxawg’s parents went to a nearby village and met Nkauj Nag they than fell in love with not only her kindness, but everything that she was. Ntxawg finally decided that he’ll marry Nkuaj Nag for he had already lost his hope in Paj Yeej and becoming rich through the support of her rich father. Soon enough Ntxawg and Nkuaj Nag married. Ntxawg later found out that Paj Yeeb had returned home as a divorce woman and saw his opportunity with Paj Yeeb, his dream was coming true.

Nkauj Nag was hurt for the betrayal of her husband so she left him with her unborn child. A few days later Ntxawg was accidentally shot and was on the verge of death. His love Paj Yeeb left him because she was unable to support him and take care of him and did not want the title of a divorce woman and a widow so she left him. When Nkauj Nag heard about the accident and that Ntxawg’s second wife had left him on his death bed she returned to him and help nurture Ntxawg back to life.

Through the time of his sickness he than realized that money and Paj Yeeb was not his dream, but his dream was his wife Nkauj Nag who loves him unconditionally even after the hurtful ways he had put her through.

As I’ve mentioned before, this movie was well worth the money! I believe I paid 18 bucks for this movie since it was a two disc movie and man it was well worth every penny spent!! I’ll have to be honest, the acting was not all the best, there are room for improvements but it wasn’t all that bad to where I couldn’t dealt with it. It was manageable, better than what I can do. Anyways my first impression was man our lead actor is not handsome, his friend is much more cuter but I got over it.

I absolutely loved loved loved the script to this movie, they had many quote and saying that really touched the heart. My most favorite quote from this movie was said to Ntxawg from his father, the quote goes “Its not because she’s beautiful that makes you love her, it’s because you love her that makes her beautiful”. and also the quote said to Ntxawg from Nkauj Nag “Love is not how much you received, but how much you can give”. Not only did this movie have great quote and saying, but the storyline of this movie was very good and very powerful. They had put a lot of thoughts into this movie, well worth it!

This movie is not only any other movie, but a life lesson. The object of this movie is, money is not worth anything if the people you have around you does not love you for who you are, but the money you have; the person you love may not love you to care for you but the person who loves you will care for you unconditionally.

Well worth it, I recommend everyone to watch this movie, “open up your mind and see life through your heart not your eyes” (another awesome quote from the movie).

    Hey where did you find this one? At 4th of July? I saw the preview on your channel a while ago and sent a couple people to 4th of July to look for it but couldn’t find it at all. I was so wanting to see this one so bad. Even from the preview I thought it looked great. And I know exactly the quotes you are talking about. I also found them very powerful. I’ll have to go look for it now..

    Hias0701, Yes I bought this movie at the Fourth of July event. I don’t see why the people you sent didn’t see this movie, they had posters posted all over the tournament. There is one main booth that saled this movie, the main booth was on one of the rows right next to the main street so it should had been easy to spot!! I also saw this movie at other booths too but there was one booth that only sale this movie and that is where I bought it.

    If you cannot find this movie anywhere, you can order it from this site http://www.kvtlp.com/. it’s the production’s site and I believe it is a legit site.

The sad part was when Ntxawg brought Paj Yeeb home and Nkauj Nag was leaving awww tu siab lawg :( and the part that I thought was really sweet was when Ntxawg was asking for Nkauj Nag’s forgiveness and he was about to bow down to her, but Nkauj Nag turned around and stopped him and they hugged awww! :D

      Sara, I am glad you liked the movie!! I really enjoyed it myself.. I have to agree with you, the part when he brought Paj Yeeb home, I cried when Nkuaj Nag walked passed them and the part where he apologized, I had tears in my eyes! It was a very beautiful movie! I thought the hospital scene was a bit funny with the guy in the background.. but overall, well worth it!!
