Sometimes This Month, 6 Years Ago
Posted on 25 May 2010
Wow, sometimes this month 6 years ago, I graduated from high school, it was an amazing and breath taking moment in my life. I made it so far, I was finally able to wear that cap and gown and looked my best (looking back, I looked hideous). I was so excited that I finally made it through the first chapter of my life, now I have to work on my next chapter!
I remember after receiving my diploma I saw my mom running towards me, as soon as I saw her face, tears started falling endlessly down my eyes, it felt so good yet it was so emotional. My mom hugged me and you can tell in her eyes she was extremely proud of me. I then saw my dad and he too was very proud of me, my tears started to fall even more as soon as I saw my dad. Why did I cry? Well of course it was tear of happiness, but one of the main reason was, because I made it past high school with the love and support of my parents. I made my parents very proud and I too was proud of myself.
Geeze, I cannot believe it, that was 6 years ago when I graduated!! Where had time been?? Time sure had frown by quick; it felt like I had just graduated about a year ago, but it’s been 6 years! ALREADY!! Man I sure do feel old now!
Forget about me, but I just want to say CONGRATS to all the 2010 high school graduates!! Wish you all the best and good luck in the future! Remember, follow your dreams and become who you want to become! Work hard on your future and your career! It may be hard and painful, but believe me, it’ll pay off!! I know it will I am speaking from experience (well I am still going through it right now, full time student and full time employee). But again, it’ll pay off if we work hard enough for what we want!

Can you tell which one is me? here is one hint, I looked HIDEOUS!!

I can spot you a mile away. I didn’t have a cap and gown in my HS graduation. I graduated from an all girls HS in Philadelphia and we had to wear a white dress and they gave us flowers to hold walking to get our diploma. I felt like I was graduating from a Nun school. College was better though, I only had 4 tickets and my mom, dad and second sister came to my graduation at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan New York. I look so young in that picture, *sigh*.
Nye, do share! I want to see the photo of you when you graduated!!!
I graduated high school in 2000. We had fireworks! I remember bursting into tears when they turned on the fireworks. I got to sit next to one of my best friends (she had the same last name) and we were crying and hugging each other. lol memories…!
we had fireworks at my graduation too, but it was my mom’s face that triggered me to cry! I was too happy!! Can’t believe time had gone so fast!
