Picking Watermelon

Seriously, picking watermelons!

There is a trick when it comes to picking the yummiest, tastiest ripest watermelon! This trick has worked for me each time.

I don’t know if it’s an Asian thing, but we have a way to pick a good and juicy watermelon. Have you guys ever gone to the store and see people surrounding the big pile of watermelons as they start to tap on them then move onto the next watermelon? Sounds funny right, but it’s true, when I pick my watermelon I normally tap my melon, if it sounds hollow then it’s a good melon, if not, well off to the next melon. LOL I know it sounds silly, but really it’s true.

Best time to eat watermelon is in the hot hot summer sun! YUMMIE! I cannot wait to have myself some!!

I do the same, must be the Asian thing. :)

My brother in-law sprinkles a little salt on his watermelon to bring out the sweet flavor, kind of weird I thought.

      Nye,
      It’s totally an Asian thing!

You know what, I’ve seen people sprinkle salt on the melon before too, I think it’s weird too.
