4×5 Film Camera: Wine, Spirits and Beer

Posted on 21 January 2010

We are 3 weeks into the quarter and already, we’ve already had 2 photo shoots for our Advance Commercial Photography class. This week our topic was Wine, Spirits and Beer. Again we shot these images using a 4×5 view camera and we are also shooting these in Chrome 4×5 films. I thought this shot was fairly easy, all I did was use black material as the backdrop and I used a dark marble to sit the wine and shot glass on it then I used the marble to reflect the wine and shot glass back.

Again my brother’s scanner sucks!!! The scanner didn’t do a good job scanning because it turned out a whole lot darker than the original. Here with the bad scanning quality it didn’t capture the shot glass’s reflection and it hardly captured the wine bottle’s reflection on the floor. When I have time, I’ll try to use the school’s scanner to scan the 4×5 again. I tried to lighten it up on photoshop but it didn’t work so I am so sorry about the bad quality of the scanner.

I was finally able to use the school’s scanner to scan the images. Notice the difference between the two images?
