Seriously??

From time to time, I meet people who just seem to put their own kinds down (Hmong or not). What I don’t understand is they only see what they allow themselves to see and then they go saying how horrible a certain group of people are. I’ve been hearing a lot of “Hmong people are stupid, they kill their own kind and they are heartless people who are greedy and selfish… blah blah blah…” From what I’ve seen, it’s not only HMONG people, and it’s not just a certain culture or race, but it’s human in general. All HUMAN has some sort of flaw. These people who says things like this only allow themselves to see how horrible “those” Hmong people are because those people are in THEIR community, they don’t see or hear about other cultural and race are because they are not in those community. Although it’s true that SOME Hmong people are greedy and selfish and what not, but that does not make the whole lot greedy and selfish. I’ve met many many many kind hearted Hmong people, too kind for their own goods and yes I’ve met many Hmong people who are very much greedy and selfish, but I still do not judge all Hmong people as greedy or selfish, it’s who they are. Everyone is different. Only the stupid idiot Hmong people (another word the THUG) are the ones who are hurting and killing each other, that does not make ALL HMONG people evil people who just want to hurt and kill each other.
It’s not just HMONG people, but its all community!!!! Come on people, open your eyes up, you’ll then see that not all people are so horrible, within the bad group there are a few good ones, with in the good group there are a few bad ones, my cultural, your cultural, my race, your race, my religion your religion! We are only human, there will be some bad ones and there will be some good ones. Stop judging others and open your eyes then you’ll see that not ALL HMONG people are bad nor any other people!
Sorry, I just needed to rant!

You’re right. Discrimination and stereotyping a race is wrong. Don’t be so upset. You just have to understand that some people live in ignorance. They do not see “the whole picture” only what they want to see.

lOl. Aiyah, what can you say. These are the type of people that you just want to ignore and just go on with life. These are the people that cant’ do anything in their life except find something to hate.

mozemoua, I saw that person’s comment came through my feed, s/he doesn’t sound like a Hmong person at first glance even though s/he said s/he is. I agreed with you 100% that it’s all people, not just a specific race, I think that person is just prejudice, don’t let stuff like that bother you.
Hanh, Lasia and Nye, thanks ladies! It felt good to just kinda rant it out! But it’s true, some people are just ignorant and prejudice. If they cannot see the big picture, what else can we say or do.
