Hmong People are being Repatriation Back to Laos!!

Posted on 28 December 2009

It is heart breaking to see that tens and thousands of innocent Hmong people are being sent back to Laos. The repatriation started early this morning at the Ban Huay Nam Khao camp in Phetchabun province about 258 miles north of Bangkok Thailand.

After helping the American fight the communist in Laos during the Vietnam War, these innocent people are forced back to returned to Laos, but what concerns me most is that their safety are in questions, anything can happen to these people once they return back to Laos. I am scared to think of the future and prosecution they may face once they reach Laos.

What I don’t understand is, if they all know that these innocent people will face dangerous prosecution once they are forced to resettle in Laos, why are they being sent back to face their fear? I am very concern about their safety, yet I cannot do much but bring the worlds out for the rest of the world and hope that these people will not face the dangerous road ahead of them.

I will do my best to follow this news as closely as I can, lets hope that we hear good news about these innocent people and lets hope that no one is in danger!

  • I don’t understand why Americans are not doing anything to help their formal colleagues. sad.. very very sad.

I met a Hmong man that could speak Thai, he came to the US 3 years ago and works at a Chicken farm, I guess that’s when the US were still accepting the Hmong refugees from Thailand than, but have not heard any after that. I wonder if the news of the General going back is because he fears the safety of his people, but I’m afraid that he might be putting himself in danger.

As for those returning to Laos, I think the Lao Government might not do anything to harm them since the world is watching the situation with scrutinizing eyes. Also there are all kinds of future aids that I’m sure we’ll hear about in the future, might not benefit the people much, but I’m sure someone is benefiting from it, so they’ll try to milk the situation.
