I just had to share this song; I had been stuck on this song for such a long time now! So as I had said back in November that I went to the NC Hmong New Year and was very disappointed that they did not have The Sounder’s album on sale. I came back home very sad and disappointed about it because I had been looking forward for this album for the longest time. It was only on release in Sacramento CA at the time. When I got home a friend of mine in CA happened to land his hand on this album so he was nice enough to send it over to me via ripped through the internet. I instantly enjoyed and love the album as I do all their albums.
Then about a week and half another friend of mine happened to be at the Long Beach CA Hmong New Year and decided to pick up the album for me, so now I have the original! Muahahaha! I am so happy and had been happy since then! She mailed it to me via UPS overnight!! It was free for her since she mailed it through work, we work in the same company, and she just transferred to CA recently.
Anyways, so in this album there is a total of 12 songs and 6 music videos (the videos are on its own disc).

I wanted to do a song translation for this song because I just absolutely adore this song; I love the meaning and the cheerful tone of this song. Each time I listen to this song, it brightens up my day and makes me smile a bit. The music video is wonderful as well; I just love the simplicity of this music video and what not. So because the music video is not on youtube and I am not sure if they would want me to put it up I decided to just cap some parts of the music video.

the previews on YT of their MV isnt’ that bad. Although it’s produced by thai. hmogn peeps stll have a long ways! haha. Lucky you, but than agina, i’m not too much of a fan of theirs. their album is pretty good though.

lolz, this sounds very classy like its from the sixties…and the music video fits perfectly; like a song you’d automatically think of beaches and bikinis, too bad there isn’t any bikinis in the mv, just the beach and the land surfing….
appleseed, it’s a beautiful song! I just can’t get enough of it! I do agree, it sounds a lot like its a song from the sixties! I just love the happy go lucky tone of the song! brightens up my day each time!
HAHA! I love Sounders! They’re my all time favorite Hmong band. I like their new album, but their old albums are way better though. Still good, though!
Fru6p, I’ve notice that every album they have has it’s own great quality! I do agree, this album was awesome, but not as great as their old ones, but within this album, it’s very “Sounders” and yet it’s very different! at least thats my opinion
