Low Key Photography
Posted on 21 October 2009
Yesterday in advance portraiture our assingment was High Key/Low Key, I decided to shoot Low Key since it was much easier, it was pretty easy, but then at the same time it was really hard! I guess with the little time I had, I had a decent amount of good shoots.
My sister Hlee was my model, she was supposed to be a fallen angel, but umm, her wing didn’t turn out so well and she broked it since Jeremy scared her away with his snake! Yes Jeremy, a classmate of mine brought his snake for a photoshoot, I was far away from them when he had th snake out. LOL

Nice shots of your sister…My favorite is the first pose. Is low key meaning dark? jw…
It came out real nice, I think the low key lighting certainly makes her look more sexy (I hope it’s okay for me to comment this since I’m a girl)
Good poses, I see the potential; however, the first pic, you can’t really tell she has wings cause they are black too
Lily, Low key is with a dark background and dark item, as for high key, it’s very light (white) background with very light item, so you can say low key means dark.
Nye, lol you can say she’s sexy, it wont offend her, LOL.. But I do like low key images more than I do high key..
Nicki, I had a hair light behind her, but then it didn’t go far enough to the wings, I need to edit it some more, I’ll show the final image at a later time.
