movie review: "Scared"

What is wrong with me? I’ve notice that I had been watching quite a few horror and gruesome movies as of late. And those are my worst movie genre ever. I always bypass a lot of horror flick (only watch selected few) and every single gruesome movies.
I had gotten my hands on the Thai movie called “Scared” starring Peemai, Natpatpa and some other Thai stars. Boy I sure did not know what I was getting myself into when I decided to watch this movie. I thought this movie was going to be a horror flick, but I sure was wrong, it was one GRUESOME movie!!
There were some parts that were too gruesome for my liking, I hate anything blood, it’s just me, I am not going to faint or anything, but I hate blood and when I see brain splattering everywhere and guts coming out and what not, I get a nasty feeling in my stomach, I mean my stomach isn’t weak or anything, I just don’t like that kind of stuff.
But besides all that gruesome stuff, which was the purpose of the movie, it was a good movie and a lot of things in the movie were unexpected. I was glad I finished the movie, it was pretty good, I wanted to know what was going to happen next and I wanted to know who was the murdered so badly. I pull through all the gruesomeness of the movie and am very proud of myself. The ending was a pleasant surprise, I did not expect the ending at all, and it kept me in awe.
“Scared” is about a bunch of College Freshman who was on a trip to this particular forest, but because of bad rain, they had to return, but at their rest area an unknown man told them he can take them to the forest but they’ll have to go another route, the leader of the pack who is I believe a College senior (?) demanded that they follow through. On their way, they had passed a ghostly area and then had to cross a river on a weak wooden bridge the bus broke the bridge and many of the students died and few had survived. Out of the survivors they tried to find their way out of the forest, but crazy, gruesome and unexpected things started to happen.
Whew, if you do not have a weak stomach and enjoy gruesome movies I would recommend this movie to you! Everything that happened in the movie was unexpected and Peemai and Natpatpa were so very beautiful. There are also some cute looking guys in this movie too and I don’t think I’ve ever seen them from anywhere before. Of course I don’t watch a lot of Thai movies just a lot of Thai lakorns (although I had been slacking really really bad on my lakorns, I need to play catch up soon!!)
