using a 4×5 view camera
Posted on 26 July 2009
Here are two of my project I took using the 4×5 view camera. It’s a awesome and super expensive camera, but then I honestly find no use of this camera since it’s so hard to use and we got good digi cams now.
With this Camera you look at it through a back glass window but the images is upside down and you’ll have to adjust the image to your liking at a fully open aperture. Once you got how you want the image to be like, you close down the aperture to your liking of sharpness and whats in focus.
Measure the bellow extention, square that and then also square the focal lenght as well do some math, meter your subject, do more math and then you get your exposure time. It’s not like a normal digi where you just pretty much focus and shoot, you have to focus and do some math before shooting. We are doing all this on film camera so its also important to not let oyur film gets expose to light or you are doom! lol
Below is a picture i took of a classmate using the 4×5 view camera

Sorry these pictures were scaned in with only the negative and my nyab’s scanner sucks so sorry about the bad quality
Below is my glass project. We had to shoot a glass object and make it interesting by adding anything to fill up the space or make it look nice. So i use seashells and a light green backdrop.

Below is my metal project. We had to buy or build our own tent and then shot it inside the tent. I ended up making my tent, it was kinda cute too. LOL
