photography work on 01.25.09

Posted on 29 January 2009

I did another photoshoot this past weekend for my photo imaging class so thought I should share. The first 3 images was tweaked in Adobe Lightroom, while the rest was tweaked in Camera Raw.. They were then screencaped to Paint and then cut and paste and was saved as JPG so I can upload them. Sucks how photobucket don’t support TIF files. grr

Still not the best but do enjoy for now.. Do tell me what you think. You can be harsh, I can take it..

Taken with my Canon XSi.. it was  very overcast day so the image isn’t all that.

  • you’re a good photographer. I like the angles of your photos. Your models are also beautiful!

    I really like #3 picture.

The #2, #4, and #9 pictures lack something. Something about the backdrop I don’t like.
Maybe if it is a closer shot it would have been better.

I resized my photos in Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 and it saves as JPEG Image, and I think the quality is not bad at all. I really like your closed up shots, especially #6, I’m just curious, are you allowed to use an auto mode, or you’ve to use the manual mode.

i believe that they are really good…you didn’t always center the subject…

i can like never take those kind of pictures

Thanks for the comments guys!!! I am looking forward to taking some more and showcase them on here.

LADYOFDARKNESS– Thanks dear. My model is actually a cousin/friend of mine.

DALLASLAO–thanks. I decided to do far shot b/c I wanted to capture nature far beyond the horizon. #3 is also a favorite too.

GINGER–Do you shoot with RAW files? I am only allow to shoot in RAW files so I can’t conver it to anything but tif and pdt. I am only allowed to shoot in manual mode so every had to be adjusted before every shot. I really like the pound background of #6.

ILARIAKIKO–thanks dear. yeah i didn’t center the picture because I wanted to use the “rule of third” in my image. It gives it a off center feel..

I shoot most of my shots with AF-auto mode, only if the items are very small like the dragonflies, then I switched to Manual Function. I guess by not having any schooling, I don’t have many rules to go by, just point and shoot. But I think many people use the different prefabricated scene modes, someone like me, and even some professional photographers, especially the sports Mode, everything happens so fast, you want an instant capture. I often wondered about those photographers with bad eyesight, if they trusted their eyes or the Auto Function of their camera. If I’ve more time, I think I need to learn all the functions of my camera.

I really like the second, third, and fifth photos. The other ones are too much in portrait styles. I like pictures that look like they are captured naturally cause it gives you a story to think of whereas the ones that they are posing and kinda looking straight at the camera. But They all look great. You did a great job.
