a piece of my heart

Posted on 02 July 2008

This post was posed on June 28, 2006. I went back to one of my older blog and fund this post. I do like this post very much. It is true that no matter how much we have, it is never enough, we always want what we don’t have and let others suffer. I know I had just sounded pretty pathetic, but hey, it is true right? I thought I should re-share this post since I had just moved to wordpress.

I know I am not anywhere close to wise, but I believe one person can change the world even if it is a simple thing. To one person it may be something little, but to another it may be something worth living for.

We as humans sometimes takes life for granted, we don’t see what is in front of us but yet we want what is not ours and could never be ours. We do things that we know we can not do or we do things that we know is wrong. All we want is things for ourselves but what about others?  Like the less fortunate kinds? We don’t care what they feel or want, we as human beings are self-centered and greedy, and don’t tell me I am wrong, because I know for a fact that we never want to help others but ourselves.  We got all that we want but yet we want better, how much more better is better? What about the ones who are struggling for their lives? Or the ones who are surviving day by day, finding their way to survive this cruel world? Can’t we just open our eyes and see the less fortunate and not just ourselves for once? Can’t we just give a little piece of our heart to the ones who are fighting for their lives? Cant we be less self centered and greedy and see what the less fortunate see and walk in their shoes? We may think we are the less fortunate but if we open out eyes and check the world around us, we are like queens and kings while others are not. Why can’t we walk in their shoes and know how they feel because if we do maybe we wouldn’t take life for granted and be so self-centered. They may be less fortunate but they are a lot kinder, they know a lot more; they know to love and live, knows how to share and all we know is wanting more and more, wanting everything, wanting what we can’t have and wanting what we cant see.

Yes I must say that we sometimes got to live life as if there is no tomorrow and be extremely greedy, for we only live life once, but that doesn’t mean everything is about greediness… It’s about giving and loving and sharing! And be greedy about our love!

That’s what I believe this quote mean…

But don’t eat more than what you can take in, eat what u can, but leave some for others who would like some”!

I’m glad that I found your blog; I think the answer is inside each of us, but we fail to see because we often look outward, and not inward, but once we discover ourselves, then our outlook on life would be different, hopefully it’s brighter and bolder.
